Director of Sales and Marketing
Position summary
Identifies, develops and maintains property sales objectives, plans and programmes in accordance with the hotel’s mission statement and business plan. Oversees the Sales Managers, Catering and MICE Sales Managers and support staff working alongside the General Manager and Revenue Director in major marketing and Revenue Management tasks.
Task and Competencies
- Undertakes market analysis and puts in place strategies and tactics to achieve goals. Provides insight needed to develop innovative’ ways to create value and communicate the value proposition to customers.
- Manages product positioning, pricing, strategies and tactics.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the performance scorecard including sales revenues, profits and overall market share.
- Maintains efficient sales office procedures for productive use of staff time and ensures the maintenance of accurate and updated account files and follow-up procedures.
- Experience in Sales & Marketing with a top 5 star brand.
- Minimum of a degree with 10 years Sales experience with an exceptional record of success
- Skills in strategic planning and ability to lead from the front
- Experience in planning marketing programs, project management, market research, market analysis and brand repositioning
- Superlative interpersonal and communications skills
- Outstanding spoken and written Bahasa and English required
- Hotelligence 360 experience and Revenue Management mind set essential
- Proven financial and business acumen
- Good understanding of Marketing Planning Revenue Management
- Results driven
- Able to lead a team to success
